Elke's home

One of our favorite customer's Rumson home has been featured in designNJ Magazine. Her home is not only featured but on the cover of the April/May 2010 issue! Elke's waterfront home is cottage-style, cozy, casual and sprinkled with "Shutters" throughout.

  1. Beautiful pictures and a beautiful home! Just when I had given up on Design NJ (the decor was starting to all look the same) they come up with such a fabulous house....but of course if they are a fan of Shutters then it goes without saying that they have good taste!

  2. Oh, I'd love to know what that subtle tan color is on her walls :-) I've trie so many paint samples, the guys at the hardware store think I'm nuts.

  3. Hi there! This blog could really help me out with my business. Wow! This is cool. Thank you so much for sharing this one. You have such an awesome page! I'll be looking forward for your other posts as well. Keep it up! A window shutter is a solid and stable window covering usually consisting of a frame of vertical stiles and horizontal rails (top, centre and bottom). Set within this frame can be louvers (both operable or fixed, horizontal or vertical), solid panels, fabric, glass and most any other item that can be mounted within a frame. Shutters may be employed for a variety of reasons, including controlling the amount of sunlight that enters a room, to provide privacy, security, to protect against weather or unwanted intrusion or damage and to enhance the aesthetics of a building. Depending on the application, and the construction of the window frame, shutters can be mounted to fit within the opening or to overlap the opening. The term window shutter includes both interior shutters, used on the inside of a house or building, and exterior shutters, used on the outside of a structure. On some styles of buildings it is common to have shutters to cover the doors as well as the windows.Palm Beach™ Polysatin Shutters are constructed from UV resistant polysatin compounds and are guaranteed never to warp, fade, chip or peel, regardless of extreme heat or moist conditions. shutters beverly

  4. I love the white decor blending with the natural light through the plantation shutters. This is beautiful coastal waterfront home.

  5. What people remember about homes are the charming details that give it away as a house that was built 50, 60, 70 years ago. Shutters are one of these often overlooked details that help make up that first impression of a home. shutters essex
